In our journey through life, we often find ourselves seeking forward momentum, the driving force that propels us toward our goals and aspirations. This forward momentum, however, is not self-sustaining. It requires a constant input of energy, a point that must be kept above a certain threshold to prevent breakdown and stagnation. This energy can be derived from various inputs and environmental factors, and its creation and management are crucial to maintaining our forward momentum.

One of the most challenging aspects of this process is the concept of ‘entropy allocation’. Entropy, in this context, refers to the measure of disorder or randomness in a system. The allocation of entropy is about managing this disorder to optimize the state of flux, or change, in our lives.

Entropy allocation is a balancing act. On one hand, we need a certain level of entropy or disorder to stimulate change and growth. On the other hand, too much entropy can lead to chaos and instability. Therefore, managing entropy involves saying ‘no’ to certain things and making conscious decisions about where to direct our energy.

This concept is reminiscent of the famous equation E=MC2, where energy (E) equals mass (M) times the speed of light © squared. Just as energy can be converted into mass and vice versa, our energy can be converted into forward momentum. This conversion process, however, is not always straightforward. It may involve reinventing ourselves, redefining our purpose, or reevaluating our priorities.

In conclusion, maintaining forward momentum is a complex process involving constantly creating and managing energy. It requires us to understand and manage the entropy in our lives, making conscious decisions about where to direct our energy. By doing so, we can optimize our state of flux and continue moving forward toward our goals.
